The caliper can be attributed to a unique tool for carrying out various linear mechanical measurements, familiar to each of us. Easy to operate and reliable, has a large number of advantages, measurement accuracy, reliability. To date, the functionality of the caliper has increased, digital calipers have appeared, as well as with special nozzles for measuring pipes, for internal and external dimensions, but the shape of the rod, the movable scale, and the additional vernier scale in mechanical calipers have remained unchanged. Especially popular are digital calipers, they are also called calipers with an electronic scale. Digital calipers have a number of advantages and disadvantages, like any device. The main advantages of a digital caliper include accuracy and ease of operation. The principle of operation of the electronic scale caliper is very simple, there is a magnetic tape (scale) on the caliper rod, and a high-precision reliability reading device is in the digital caliper unit. The only drawback of digital calipers can be considered the impossibility of working at low temperatures, like any electronic device, an electronic caliper also suffers from low temperatures. A mechanical caliper is not as accurate as a digital indicator, but still has great reliability and accuracy. All Microtech calipers are handmade.
