Mechanical smooth micrometers of MK series are used for measuring external dimensions of various parts, materials, etc. The accuracy of micrometers is 0,01 mm
The optimum movement of the micrometer screw is 25 mm, so micrometers are manufactured in 25 mm sizes 0-25 mm, 25-50 mm, etc. (The range of micrometers manufactured is very wide and can be from 0 to 2000 mm. The design of micrometer is quite simple, it consists of a body, which has the form of a bracket with a heel at one end and a micrometer screw at the other end, on the stem is fixed micrometer nut with a ratchet and applied scale. The stop screw The reading device follows the nonius scale of the micrometer. The measuring planes are made with high paralellarity and carbide elements are usually soldered on the heel and spindle extremities to counteract wear.
